Twitter’s stock opened today down by more than six percent following the departure of five key players at the company.

The departures so far include engineering vice president Alex Roetter, product vice president Kevin Weil, media head Katie Stanton, HR vice president Brian Schipper, and Vine head Jason Toff.

We don’t yet know what triggered the sudden exits — news of which broke Sunday night — aside from Twitter’s known issues: the growth struggles, the stock’s downward spiral, and so on.

Twitter is apparently gearing up to announce a new chief marketing officer this week, too. Current American Express EVP of global advertising, Leslie Berland, is in the running for this role, Recode reports.
