Today Twitter announced a new tool for editing ad campaigns in bulk, called Ads Editor.
The new editing function allows advertisers to download all of their campaigns into a single Excel spreadsheet, make changes there, and then upload the altered Excel sheet into the Twitter Ads dashboard. A video shows that advertisers can change campaign dollar amounts as well as the length of time a campaign plans to run.
It’s worth noting that Twitter only tapped Microsoft Excel — not, say, Google Sheets — for this project. The reason for the decision likely has to do with the pervasiveness of Microsoft Office among businesses.
Ads Editor will come to a select number of advertisers today, and Twitter expects to roll out the product globally in the next several weeks. To see if you have access, check notifications in ads.twitter.com.
