Type ‘a long time ago in a galaxy far far away’ into Google for a fun Easter egg

Google is really stoked for the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

So much so, that when you Google the phrase “a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away” on desktop the search page changes from a white screen with blue links to a scrolling black screen with yellow text — just like the opening crawl for Star Wars movies. It also plays the Star Wars theme song.

This is the second promotional stunt that Google has run in advance of The Force AwakensYesterday, the company launched a website where Google users can sign up to be a part of the “light side” or the “dark side” and have extensions added to their various Google apps for a Star Wars experience. For instance, in Google Search, the search bar is turned into a light saber.

There are bound to be more Easter eggs as the film debut approaches. In a blog post, Google VP of product management Clay Bavor noted, “We’ve hidden a few easter eggs, too. So awaken the Force within, and be on the lookout for things from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…”

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will hit theaters on December 14.
