When’s Mahvel? Right now.
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is finally returning to a current-gen console. During the keynote presentation at its PlayStation Experience event, Sony announced that the game is available to download digitally today on the PlayStation 4. Capcom lost the license for the game in December 2013, and it had to remove it from certain digital stores as a result. But now that it is back working with Marvel on the just announced Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, the publisher has obviously made the requisite deal to resurrect the last game.
You will likely have to buy the game again even if you already owned it digitally on PlayStation 3. Sony also notes that it is available “exclusively on PS4.” That means it is not returning to PS3’s store — at least not today. We’ve reached out to Sony and Capcom for more details of this agreement, and we’ll update the post with any new information.
