Unsocial users can connect their LinkedIn accounts, or create a unique account for the application, and immediately find others using unsocial within a few miles. They can also find events in the area — such as DiscoveryBeat — and see an attendee list and announce their intent to attend the event.

If the potential connection has their phone number listed, users can call them directly. Otherwise, they can send them a message through the application — including sending their own “business card.” To test out the App, Unsocial is going to use the app to find a Java programmer at DiscoveryBeat today, said Kiran Modak (pictured left) of Apptango.
The idea is to help people at an airport, conference or any other large event quickly find people they might be able to use as business connections. The Unsocial guys were sitting around in an airport, watching business people trying to figure out their surroundings when the idea for Unsocial came about, said Justin Richardson, founder and director of business development for Apptango.
