We received an interesting pair of promotional products in the mail this week. To get our attention for the launch of a new web service called Rocket Mortgage, home mortgage lender Quicken Loans sent us a space helmet (get it?) and a brand-new Apple iPad Mini 2 tablet that was programmed to display information about the new service.
Thankfully, Quicken Loans gave us the code to disable the product description on the iPad’s screen, and we now have a perfectly usable new tablet hanging around.
This iPad Mini 2 has a 7.9-inch Retina Multi-Touch display, an A7 chip, an M7 motion coprocessor, 16GB of RAM, and a space gray aluminum back cover with a black bezel. It can connect to the Internet over Wi-Fi — it doesn’t have a cellular connection. The retail price is $269.
And we want to give it away, along with a compatible Apple charger and the aforementioned space helmet, to one lucky VentureBeat reader.
