It’s still unclear just how many iPhones the company sold, since preorders went live earlier yesterday morning, although RBC Capital analyst Mike Abramsky estimates it to be somewhere below 100,000. The timing of the sellout falls in line with the iPhone 4’s preorder sellout on AT&T last year, which also took less than 24 hours.
Some lucky Verizon customers have already been informed that their iPhones are on the way. Everyone else will have to wait until February 9 to buy it online, or snag it in stores on February 10.
