BARCELONA, Spain — Visa, Pizza Hut, and Accenture say they’ve teamed up to let you buy stuff from your car. Yeah.
The three companies are collaborating on a connected car that is expected to feature Visa Checkout (Visa’s online payment service), cellular connectivity, Bluetooth Low Energy, and Beacon technology deployed at Pizza Hut restaurants “to alert staff when the customer has arrived and is ready to pick up the order.” Accenture is managing the systems integration.

Visa says Visa Checkout will allow consumers to easily order food from the car. Interactive Voice Response (IVR) will be used to let the driver order and authenticate purchases while keeping both hands on the steering wheel.
