After postponing a scheduled launch for a third time yesterday, Elon Musk’s SpaceX hopes to get another shot today at sending its Falcon 9 into space.

The previous two days the launch was cancelled due to problems with the Air Force’s Eastern Range radar. If the launch doesn’t happen today, it’s unclear when SpaceX will get another window.
When it does eventually launch, the Falcon 9 will carry a DSCOVR satellite into orbit on behalf of the Deep Space Climate Observatory for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The satellite will gather information about the Earth’s atmosphere and climate-related information.

But what will be of more immediate drama will be the attempt to land the rocket on a platform on a small platform off the coast of Florida.
