Watch Joseph Gordon-Levitt play the NSA whistleblower in first ‘Snowden’ trailer

Nearly three years ago, former NSA contractor Edward Snowden orchestrated one of the most significant government leaks in U.S. history. Today, the first trailer of Oliver Stone’s film about him, “Snowden,” was released.

As the Verge points out, our first look at “Snowden” reveals the sort of computer graphics you’d expect from a tech-spy thriller. We’re hoping the film doesn’t turn out to be too cheesy when it premieres this fall.
