Watch Oculus, Valve, Sony, and even NASA talk VR and AR on summit livestream

If you want to learn more about the virtual and augmented reality craze that (many hope) is about to hit world, you may want to watch this livestream.

It’s from the Vision VR/AR Summit, a Unity Technologies event taking place on February 10 in San Francisco and featuring speakers from notable VR companies like Valve, Sony, and Oculus. Even a member of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory will speak. Attending events like this can be expensive (or difficult to attend if you don’t live in San Francisco), so Vision will broadcast the opening keynote and awards ceremony for its summit here. The keynote starts at 10 a.m. Pacific.

Tech adviser Digi-Capital predicts virtual and augmented reality will generate as much as $120 billion in revenue by 2020, and 2016 is a big year for the blossoming industry with headsets like the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive finally releasing. Of course, we still don’t know exactly how a larger audience will respond to VR/AR, but summits like this can help like-minded developers learn from each other as they prepare to unleash their commercial products.

That’s a pretty notable band of industry figures, so it should make for an interesting stream.
