Can’t stand being away from your friends after graduating from college? Never fear; ooVoo will let you video chat with multiple friends at one time. The cloud-based video chatting service rolled out new apps for the iPad and Facebook today in an effort to surpass Skype and FaceTime-like services.

The Facebook app allows 12-way video chat, the company said today. Apps are also available for iPhone, Android, and desktop platforms. The 12-way chat feature will also be available for Apple’s iPad tablet with the ability to view four high-quality simultaneous video streams.

“This release was driven by our daily interactions with our users, and by our vision of an open communications platform that seamlessly becomes part of our users’ social lives,” Yuval Baharav, Chief Executive Officer of ooVoo, said in a press release.

Although the 12-way chat feature was not formally announced when it first appeared, a beta form of it was already on Facebook.
