Nobody puts Apple’s HealthKit in a corner.
Just a few weeks after Fitbit said it wouldn’t support Apple’s new HealthKit platform, Fitbit devices have vanished from Apple’s online stores. The disappearance, spotted by Slash Gear, comes just a few weeks after rumors began to circulate that Apple would yank the fitness wearables.
As of yet, neither company has issued a statement. But it should prove to be an interesting test case for how Apple treats developers of third-party gadgets as the company prepares to roll out the Apple Watch early next year.
Apple Watch includes a number of fitness features that could compete with those made by companies such as Fitbit. But Apple wants developers to plug into its HealthKit platform to make it a hub of personal health data.

Fitbit said it would wait and see. Its most recent releases don’t support HealthKit, though it said it might rethink that approach if users demanded it.
