What do software developers and cabaret dancers have in common? Softarex

Not ones to beat around the bush (or perhaps in his case, the tree), Cyprus-based Softarex manufactures software-with-advanced-research-from-experts. Its flagship product codEnforcer seeks out problem in source code and suggests improvements.

The sleep-deprived, overworked software engineer is something of a tech-scene trope, and the 45 employees at Softarex are working hard to give them a rest.

“CodEnforcer can make the software development process more effective and increase productivity of engineers,” said CEO Alexander Lipanov. “We’ve figured out that using codEnforcer, it is possible to save a minimum of 2,000 hours per year with a team of 150 members. This will allow software developers to spend less time in office and spend more time on other work or with family and friends.”

Basically, Softarex provides an outsourcing opportunity for code analysis as well we assistance with reengineering and refactoring.

“As a developer, I was reading some of the recommendations on how to fix source code, and it gave clear recommendations on how to fix it,” said CEO of Founder Institute Adea Ressi. “When you have a lot of people working on source code, they can get sloppy and make mistakes. The Codenforcer could be great for big projects like that.”

The team has produced a collection of eight solutions that deal with different industry sectors: e-commerce, communications, energy and utilities, public sector, manufacturing, health care and medicine, publishing and advertisement, and education.

Next on this list of belabored professionals to help are event managers. The Promomo platform is in the works, an online booking system and social network for live entertainment.  Performers can publicize themselves on the site, and people looking to hire live entertainment for anything ranging from circuses to frat parties to corporate functions can search through the listings.

I am still unclear as to the connection between these two products, unless the engineers that have additional free time decide to take up cabaret.
