Ben Golub is the CEO of Docker, one of the hottest and buzziest cloud startups around. He joins us on this week’s VentureBeat podcast to explain what Docker is, why it’s suddenly so popular, and why open source is such a lasting strategy for enterprise technology companies.
Companies big and small are building on top of Docker’s technology, and Golub gets to make the executive decisions. He was previously president and CEO of the storage startup Gluster, which Red Hat bought in 2011. Docker just got a $40 million round of funding it doesn’t even need yet.
