Xbox Live is down for many, with core services affected (update)

Xbox Live is down for both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One video game consoles, according to Microsoft.

The Xbox Live Status page shows that both social and gaming are down on the Xbox 360, and the core services are also limited for both the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 game machines.

“We are aware of the issue and have our engineers working to get it fixed ASAP! Thanks for your patience while we get everything back to normal,” Microsoft said.

On Saturday, Microsoft also posted that it was aware that there were problems for multiplayer combat in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare after an update was posted. Microsoft also said that Facebook sharing wasn’t working, and it was working with Activision to solve the problems.
