GamesBeat has partnered with iSpot.tv, which measures TV advertising in real-time, to bring you a monthly report on how gaming brands are spending and which are generating the most digital response. This is the second, which shows the results for August.
The Xbox One ad “Professor of Game Day Evolution” touting its NFL Fantasy Football integration featuring the likes of New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees, Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews, Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman and Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch destroyed all other videogame ads in August in terms of digital chatter, generating over 40 percent of the overall share of voice in the category. The spot generated over 500,000 online views, 55,000 social actions, and over 1,500 searches. It not only dominated the game industry ad category, but it was also the most-engaging ad overall for the last week of August.
