Yahoo is shutting down what’s left of its operations in mainland China. The company just informed employees at a Beijing research center that it’s letting them go.
Yahoo is expected to terminate between 200 and 300 employees there, a Wall Street Journal report states today, citing a person familiar with the matter.

It’s the company’s only remaining office in mainland China.
“We will be consolidating certain functions into fewer offices, including to our headquarters in Sunnyvale, Calif.,” Yahoo said.
