HTC’s One M9 is now available online unlocked and from a handful of carriers in the U.S. The launch arrives two weeks earlier than we originally expected.
As Samsung’s Galaxy S6 made headlines yesterday, HTC jumped in to announce an early (unlocked-only) release for its long-hyped M9. The unlocked device will set you back $649.
Then Sprint said it will also let customers order the device today online and in-store — note: you won’t be able to pick up the M9 in-store today, but you can order it there. Similar announcements from T-Mobile and AT&T followed. But Verizon customers won’t be able to pre-order a subsidized device until April 1.
As for the M9’s international release, HTC simply says its flagship phone will launch abroad later this year.
