Jimmy Fallon might shake like a leaf as he holds the Nintendo Switch on The Tonight Show, but games are never going to get the bulk of the attention on a network-television talk show. But we don’t need that, because we’re getting The Foo Show.

That’s a new interactive media program that plans to take you inside of your favorite video games. Using Foo’s 2D viewer (which works like a game) or a virtual reality headset, you can join host Will Smith — a former tech journalist — as he interviews developers about the worlds they created while standing inside of those places. The Foo Show is getting a first season of five episodes featuring different games thanks to its successful Kickstarter campaign. The team was asking for $50,000, and with about an hour left, more than 2,200 people have pledged $66,000.

You can still back the campaign and lock down the first five episodes for yourself and help the project reach its stretch goal for a virtual band leader. Visit the Kickstarter page right here.

We got a taste of Foo earlier this year when a pilot episode about the narrative adventure Firewatch debuted for the Oculus Rift, the HTC Vive, and more. As part of that demonstration of the Foo tech, Smith interviewed developers from Firewatch developer Campo Santo while standing inside one of that game’s key sets. As an audience member, you get to walk around that world and interact with it while digital representations of Smith and his guests do the same.

While most game developers try to figure out what VR will mean for them, The Foo Show is interesting because it already feels like it has figured out what media could look like with this new platform. It takes lessons from television, podcasts, and video games, and it combines those elements in a way that makes that only really makes sense in virtual reality. And that’s exciting.
