YouTube is attempting to clean up the description section of video pages by launching a new “creator credits” field today for popular YouTube channels.
The service cited the large number of creators that currently use a video’s description field to list all the various people who worked on it. For simple one-person vlog submissions, this isn’t much of an issue. However, YouTube has been trying to increase professional-grade content on the site over the last few years — and plenty of popular videos have a handful of contributors (video editing, hosts/actors, music, camera work, writing, etc.).

Today that feature is rolling out to all users who have at least 10,000 subscribers.
The creator credits field lets you pick a role for each collaborator and can even link back to a contributor’s individual YouTube channel page.
