Web services provider GoDaddy has apologized to its customers for the Monday’s outage that crippled countless sites across the web, and it is offering one free month of service to nullify complaints.

I cannot express how sorry I am to those of you who were inconvenienced.”
GoDaddy experienced a widespread outage Monday that stopped many small business and personal websites to stop functioning, including my own site.

A member of hacker collective Anonymous, Anonymous Own3r, originally claimed responsibility for the outage. But GoDaddy went on the record saying to say that the outage was “not caused by external influences.” The company said it was not a “hack,” or a denial of service attack (DDoS) but instead blamed the event on “corrupted router data tables.”
