A small set of prominent Microsoft services, including Outlook and SkyDrive, are experiencing outages today, according to Microsoft’s status dashboard.
“Microsoft is investigating an issue affecting a small number of customers’ access to some Outlook.com and SkyDrive experiences and we are working to restore full access to the services as quickly as possible,” a Microsoft spokesperson told VentureBeat.
The outage comes the same day as another big outage by the New York Times. The publication went offline for unknown reasons earlier today.
Microsoft has resolved the issues it was having for its SkyDrive cloud storage app as of 2:02 p.m. ET, but as of this writing, issues remain with its Outlook email service and People app, which relate to contacts:
