I did some math today. Between Guitar Hero and Rock band we have had 21 games between the main games, and expansions. Thar is 21 games in 5 years or 4.2 games a year. Now Mega man on the other hand counting the main games, spin offs, odd balls games (Basically everything but the collections, and remakes to make the older games available on newer hardware.) we have 74 games in 22 years. Or 3.4 games a year. Best part is that number goes down if we only count games from the cannon and take out the soccer, kart game, and the few others that were just spin offs. Since we don’t count Pinball, Punch out, or Luigi’s Mansion as Mario games.
Maybe these franchies need to board the same plane as Buddy Holly, and Big Bopper so we can let the music die and move on to something else.
