Friday Night’s alright for…online gaming? (With apologies to Elton John, of course.) It sure is, at least as far as the overlords at Bitmob are concerned.
Bitmob’s looking forward to this Friday night in particular — we’re rolling out our first Game Night. And you’re invited.
We’ve wanted to play some games with the community for some time. The community took the first step with its Bitmob/Geekbox Fat Princess game — and it was a blast. I wish that I could’ve played longer.
This Friday, we’re going to get together and play Halo 3 via ODST.
The Bitmob Overlord himself, Dan “Shoe” Hsu, is set to host the session, which begins at 8:30 p.m. Eastern (5:30 p.m. Pacific). Other Bitmob staffers plan on playing as well. Look for Game Night updates on Bitmob’s Twitter and Facebook accounts.
And if you’re interested in playing, leave a comment! If successful, we plan on doing this every other Friday night, changing systems as we go (PS3/Xbox 360/PC). If a good multiplayer game for the Wii comes out, we’ll through that into the mix as well. In two weeks, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is on the sked.
Also, look here to find the online gaming IDs of Bitmob community members and staffers — and add yours if you haven’t already done so!
