Sure, you’ve played Grand Theft Auto 4. But have you played it for 40 hours straight?

News Blips:

GTA 4

A Mumbai man has achieved a Guinness Book record for playing Grand Theft Auto 4 for 40 hours and 20 minutes straight. Chirantan Patnaik breezed by the previous record, a pathetic 28 hours and 1 minute. Breaking from the action only four times, Patanaik stated that “it’s fun playing long hours. It wasn’t that exhaustive for me, as one might feel.” Our guess is that the breaks were well spent, swapping out adult diapers. [Kotaku]

Heavy Rain is to have slight cultural censorship depending on the region the game’s released in. Heavy Rain’s executive producer, Guillaume de Fondaumiere, expects the game to essentially be the same world wide, just negligibly different to be more accessible to customers in different regions. He stated that “(they) felt the need to adapt the content to the culture.” We imagine that us moral-less Americans will get the full unedited version. [Destructoid]

Lumines is absent from the PSP Go’s digital lineup because of licensing issues. A Q Entertainment representative tweeted that “We would love to bring Lumines/Lumines II to the PSN store, but there are complications, music licensing, was published by Namco, etc.” The rep then followed up by typing “That said, we’re obviously looking into it. :).” Yep, that sounds like the ol’ company song and dance to us.
