Guten morgen, Mobbers!

Today is the first day of Field Week – the brain child of Alex R. Cronk-Young and Cody Winn – and also the first day of Morning Cup of Mob — something I plan on doing all of Field Week!

What better way to cure those Monday blues then with a short, easy to read post about my gaming habits? There isn't one, so let's go!

"Here is a lesson in creative writing. First rule: Do not use semicolons. They are transvestite hermaphrodites representing absolutely nothing. All they do is show you've been to college."

Kurt Vonnegut

Day One of Field Week

Often times, I don't play new games when they're new. Instead, I wait until they've dropped in price, then pick them up on the cheap. I don't recommend everyone approaching game buying this way, otherwise the developers would be out of a job! But it works for me.

My new acquisition of an old-game-that's-new-to-me-now: Resident Evil 5.

It's not scary, we all know that. But it matters very little, I think, because the game is just so well designed. I've been playing coop with my sister, and I haven't had a better action-horror experience, ever. We share the money, which is great, but we also communicate on who will pick up what weapon, who needs ammo, and, most importantly, who needs healing. Communication is key! And sticking together. It's hard to help someone when they're in a room, trapped by a horde of zombies (or whatever they're called), and about a hundred yards away.

But there's a button that tells me where she is, and there's also a map. Very handy.

We're nearly done with the game, and I imagine I'll play through multiple times. A victory in New Game In The Future purchasing!

The Cup of Mob Challenge

What, you didn't think that was it, did you? In order to respond to this post, you have to use the following phrase in your response:

…but eating bananas is…

Example: Resident Evil 5 isn't scary, but eating bananas is horrifying!

Use it any way you like, but you HAVE to use it in order to respond! If you don't, your Bitmob account will be deleted. Just kidding!…maybe.
