G' Morning Evening, Mobbers!

I know, Field Week is over. Bummer. But that doesn't mean Morning Cup of Mob has to be, right? Look, I don't know how often I'm going to do this, but as often as I can, I will.

It's just too much fun not to do! And with that, we're off!

"Just when I thought you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this…and totally redeem yourself!"

Rob Savillo will be proud: I purchased Torchlight, thanks to Steam on Mac. I played the demonstration version for 84 minutes and could barely pull myself away to download the full version — if you're wondering, all of my progress was saved, and I was able to start exactly where I left off once I bought it. Even the Steam achievements I unlocked were saved. Nice!

For the record, I knew I was going to buy the game after about 2 minutes.

Red Dead Redemption is available for purchase tomorrow. Are you grabbing a copy? I was going to watch a western to prepare myself, but couldn't decide on 3:10 to Yuma, or The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly — they're both so good!

The Mob Reaction

A young man knocks on his new girlfriend's front door. Before he can compose himself, her father opens the door and glares menacingly at him.

"My daughter's last boyfriend killed my parents," the father says with a stone-cold stare.

The young man isn't sure how to react, and looks down at his feet. The awkward silence lingers.

Finally, the father begins laughing. "Ha ha ha, I'm just kidding." Relieved and confused, the young man laughs uncertainly, nervously.

The father stops laughing. "I killed my own parents," he says matter-of-factly, before shutting the door on the young man.

I didn't make up the following, but the person who relayed this story made it seem like it was true. When I heard the story I couldn't stop laughing about it, and even now, as I'm typing this, I have a big grin on my face. It's hilarious, right? Or not? Let me know what you think!
