These are the Best Trailers of the Year, thus far. I know everyone usually has a yearly award for this kind of thing, but with E3 steadily approaching and the fact that we have been having a second holiday release season of sorts in the beginning of the year, I figured I'd change things up a bit. Check them out:

5. Battlefield Bad Company 2 – Pre-Launch Trailer

Battlefield Bad Company 2 is the best shooter this generation, at least in my opinion. Combining excellent shooter mechanics and gameplay with the perfect blend of strategy and teamwork.

The trailer itself is great; It is the perfect ballad of song and destruction.

4. Brink – GDC 2010 Cinematic Trailer

Brink is a new game being developed by famed developer Splash Damage. They have a nack for creating amazingly deep and original team based first person shooters. Brink really looks like it is going to make the multiplayer genre fall to its knees.

The trailer is a great representation of what the game is. Mixing parkour, shooting and all out chaos into one eye pleasing video.

3. Deus Ex: Human Revolution Teaser Trailer

One of the most acclaimed franchises in gaming is finally coming back and I know fans of the original are hoping it lives up to the legacy. The second was somewhat of a disappointment but now most of the original team is back on board. Cross your fingers!

The trailer is amazing; showing off the slick visual style and color palette that the developer is going for. Plus, I can't confirm it but I'll be damned if the voice of the main character isn't Christian Bale reprising his role as Batman! Listen closely.

2. Crysis 2 – The Wall Trailer

The original Crysis was and in some cases still is one of the most fantastic looking games ever created. Now Crytek is getting ready to release the sequel to their visual masterpiece, but this time on all the major platforms (PC, Xbox 360, PS3). Let's hope it lives up to the hype.

The trailer is a beautiful introduction to the chaotic world of Crysis and at the same time manages to create the creepiest rendition of "New York, New York" that I have ever heard!

1. Mass Effect 2 – Launch Trailer

Mass Effect 2 is one of the greatest games of the year and is currently my game of the year. Not only was it an epic sci-fi tale but also one of the best representations of what a sequel should be. If you haven't played it, I implore you to do so as soon as possible.

The trailer is, in my opinion, one of the greatest video game trailers I have seen in a long while. It is epic, cinematic, emotional and the song choice is superb. It's like watching an epic sci-fi movie trailer.
