The MS press conference is over here are my quick reactions to what I saw.

Call of Duty: Black Ops-  The single player game looks good and very Call of Duty-ish. The flashlight is new and it seems to be placed in Vietnam… Nothing innovative or spectacular.

Raiden trailer (Metal Gear)–   Slow motion chop-em-up looked very cool. I was impressed by the detail I saw inside everything he cut up. I think he had a Ginsu sword.

Gears of War- Cliff B. showed off 4 player co-op and it looked VERY polished. Still Gears of War. Still beautiful.

Fable- Peter Molyneux showed a trailor for the new Fable game. Did not explain the Kinect support. None of it was game play.

Project Kingdom?– The game looked like what I would assume 300 would look like. They look like Spartans with blood dripping off of them… Yep that's it.

Kinect interactivity– The system will use biometric and voice recognition to navigate your console and XBLA. Yes Minority report stuff. I'm personally excited about the video chat. (Any long distance relationships need rekindling…)

ESPN free on Xbox Live– Holy AWESOME! Looks like the only sports they may lack is NFL and NHL. I no longer need Cable TV. College football, MLB and NBA will be huge. They say more to come but ESPN only has rights to MNF NFL games. Don't get your hopes up.

FTW!!!

Kinect (Natal) Avatar games–   I can see the appeal. They look like they will play better than the Wii.   The animal game looks like it may have replaced Milo.   I don't really see much more than a basic appeal to the River Rafting game.   The obstacle game looks like it will be the best so far.  Track and field…  All of the games look pretty good and like lots of fun for a family.  I guarantee at least 1000 broken nose complaints in the first 2 years.

Not Quite 1:1 yet.   (Credit NeoGAFs ShaunBRS for the gif)

Your Shape– Ubisoft is making a workout game that already looks better than Wii fit. Virtual coaching will help you get your technique right. Also showed off a "Tae Bo light" mode.

Dance Central– This looked dumb for 10 seconds then looked genius after that. Get a good dancer on the floor to show off how to do it right then get Napoleon Dynamite out on stage and do it almost as well. He was pretty good and made me laugh until my stomach hurt. Genius marketing. That video will go viral. Simply put, my game of E3 so far.

Star Wars– This game trailer is the reason publishers usually don’t show game play. The Jedi is “Jedi-jumping/running” foreword toward imperial enemies deflecting shots back at storm troopers and using his “force push” on vehicles. Until he gets to the end of the road where Darth Vader walks out of a transport. The light saber the character is waving at random doesn’t seem to make contact with the hundreds of shots at him yet deflects ever one of them. The game looked like graphics Xboc circa 2004, little detail on the environment or characters. Bad so far.

Forza– The game was shown being played driving a Ferrari and the goal was to pass as many random cars (not racing them) on a coastal highway as possible. The game showed beautiful graphics as the Ferrari looked near picture perfect and the environmental details such as the hills, cliff face and water were awesome. The game play looked iffy showing no breaking or acceleration. The gamer drove fast and tried to avoid hitting cars and walls.

THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENTThe smaller new Xbox 360 will come with built in 250 gig hard drive, Wi-Fi and should be whisper quiet. When I first saw it I thought it looked like a fat black Wii with the Xbox 360 ring on the front. Very cool. They announced it will be the same price as the current bundle. WOW!

She looks just as good from behind.
