The democratic way isn't always the right way. Originally, we wanted to take a staff vote to come up with a definitive Bitmob's Top 10 Games of E3. But since we split up the companies and booths, we all didn't get to see everything, so a collaborative list like that didn't really make much sense. So instead, we'll indulge our own egos by giving you our individual Top 10s (or 5s, for those who didn't feel like they saw 10 great games).

Again, individually, we did not see every title at the expo, so take these lists for what they're worth: our favorite games out of the ones that we got to experience ourselves. This is the stuff we're most excited to play in the upcoming months….

"Although I wanted to give more recognition to the cool non-franchise games that I saw, like Limbo and Hydrophobia, I can't deny that I'm most excited about these titles here. I could've played Gears of War 3’s Beast mode all night long if the developers would've let me."

  3. Star Wars: The Old Republic
  4. Portal 2
  5. Kirby's Epic Yarn
  6. True Crime
  7. Epic Mickey
  8. Donkey Kong Country Returns
  9. Halo: Reach
  10. Twisted Metal

Demian wasn't available for a quick quote, but since he's a man of few words, I'll just write it for him:

  4. Dead Space 2
  5. Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Brett Bates, Editor

"No one game exploded my senses like the Nintendo 3DS did, but that doesn't mean the games on display at E3 were junk. All of the games listed below will give players plenty of reasons to fork over their cash in the coming year."

  1. Epic Mickey
  2. Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater — The Naked Sample
  3. Journey
  4. Brink
  5. Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned
  6. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
  7. Twisted Metal
  8. Child of Eden
  9. Mortal Kombat
  10. Rock Band 3

Rob Savillo, Editor

"I'm a little disappointed in the sparseness of strategy titles at E3, and I'm especially saddened to see two separate series drop their tactical components. That's why two franchises I love, XCOM and Front Mission, rank so low, but at least we have Civilization 5 to save the day; I'm most excited to see how that game will push the genre's boundaries forward."

  1. Civilization 5
  2. Deus Ex: Human Revolution
  3. Journey
  4. Spec Ops: The Line
  5. Homefront
  6. XCOM
  7. Front Mission: Evolved
  8. Twisted Metal
  9. Vanquish
  10. WWE All Stars

Aaron Thomas, Editor

"I actually didn't get to see a whole lot of games at this year's show — I didn't even see enough to make a solid top 10. As you can probably tell from my list, I really enjoyed what I saw from the 3DS. The 3D effect is awesome, the screen is crisp and colorful, and the developers really seem to have come up with some interesting ways to utilize 3D."

  1. Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater — The Naked Sample
  2. Paper Mario 3DS
  3. Face Ace 3DS (tech demo)
  4. PilotWings 3DS
  5. Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit

"I didn't get a chance to see as many games as I wanted, so here are my top five picks. They aren't most popular games, but these offbeat titles were a lot of fun for me. Mortal Kombat is the exception and makes the list because I haven't been this excited about a gory, over-the-top violent game since, well, Mortal Kombat 2."

  1. "Target Shooting" (a 3DS augmented-reality tech demo)
  2. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game
  3. Mario Sports Mix
  4. Super Scribblenauts
  5. Mortal Kombat
