Looks like we’re in for a dry week folks. Everything coming out this week is either a game that got pushed back to this week or a game barely worth mentioning. I have no choice but to declare this week “Backlog Week.” Now go finish up Bayonetta or Mass Effect 2 or, god forbid, Luigi’s Mansion or something.

Remember. Release dates are quite literally made at the whims of the publisher.  The following are subject to change without any warning.

Zany Golf (Wii)

How does one make a miniature golf game zany? Well, you start off by putting the word “zany” in the title. Then make the box art show the blandest possible miniature golf course humanly possible. That’s how you sell miniature golf games!

TrackMania Turbo (DS)

LittleBigPlanet may have made the word “User Generated Content” a household term, but TrackMania’s been doing it for years. Another version of TrackMania came out last year, but TrackMania Turbo is the definitive version with the ability to upload your custom tracks to a centralized database and the ability to race others online. If you still have the hots for this series, this is definitely for you.

Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore (DS)

You know, the idea of a secret war between cats and dogs could’ve been awesome with over the top violence, gore, dark humor, and vulgar language, but instead we got kiddie movie fare with bird crapping missions, gadgets, and, ugh, Kitty Galore. If you’ll excuse me, the nearest cliff is a couple of miles away.

Hidden Objects – Mystery Stories (DS)

I hate hidden object games. You can never find the crap you’re supposed to find, and lots of times, they hide the objects behind other things making it damn near impossible to pick out. Although you gotta love the generic as hell title. It’s like J.K. Rowling naming the Harry Potter series “Wizard” instead.

Man, this week sucks! I hope you’ve got a giant backlog, because this is the best week ever to play through them.
