Bitmob alienTime for another Bitmob public service announcement: We're looking to bring on an intern who lives in the Bay Area to help walk my dog, organize Shoe's Mighty Muggs collection, and scour local thrift stores for more of Demian's outrageously colored pants.

Just kidding! (Or am I…?) What we actually need is someone to help cover the many video-game events that go on in San Francisco and write about them for Bitmob. This person will also assist with the day-to-day operation of the site by uploading photos and videos, collecting Mobcast trivia, contributing a weekly story, and conducting other interny tasks.

While we can't offer payment (we're still working on that funding!), we can offer you the following things: heaps of experience, an occasional appearance on the Mobcast, access to our debug consoles for possible paid EGM work, our everlasting gratitude, and the chance to kickstart a career in games writing.

So what sort of person are we looking for? Like I said, you need to be located close enough to San Francisco that you'll be able to attend events in the city. Ideally, we'd like someone with flexible work hours, since many events take place during the day. You also need to have a professional attitude and a solid foundation of writing skills — along with a willingness to receive constructive criticism.

If you think you fit the bill, send an email to letters@bitmob.com with the subject "SF Intern." In it, tell us a little bit about yourself — your background, your location, your availability, etc. — along with two writing samples.

Good luck!
