Video Blips: Star Wars: The Old Republic, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Metro: Last Light, and more

After seeing enough videos of Star Wars: The Old Republic, I have decided that I am not going to join the Sith. I realized something recently: Since I’m an asshole in real life, it makes more sense to fantasize about being a good guy. The moment the Empire conquers Earth, though, I’m joining up.

Video Blips:

• Even though there’s no official release date, the launch of Star Wars: The Old Republic seems right around the corner. I already know it’s going to consume my life. And likewise, I already feel sorry for my girlfriend.

Continue after the break for a look at Adam Jensen’s stealth abilities in Deus Ex: Human Revolution, more gameplay from Metro: Last Night, and a classy trailer for Supremacy MMA.

• I can personally testify that the stealth gameplay in Deus Ex: Human revolution is very, very good. I never enjoyed being stealthy in the original Deus Ex, though. A nano-mechanically augmented guy like JC Denton should have more options than just hiding behind shit.

• I had never heard of the Metro series until I used a Metro: Last Light trailer for a previous Video Blips. This is one of the many perks of this job: learning about games I otherwise would have never heard of. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on this game.

• This trailer for Supremacy MMA is probably one of the more peculiar ones I’ve seen. I can’t say I’ve ever viewed a video with classical music on top of a quote about breaking people’s legs.
