I never was much of a Batman fan, but the villains in Batman: Arkham City look cool enough to get me excited. While playing the game at E3, I stumbled upon a menu with information on all of Batman’s baddies. Wait until you see the Penguin.
Video Blips:
• I’m starting to think that the people who make the Batman films should take character design pointers from Batman: Arkham City’s concept artists. The fact that they could make Mr. Freeze look so damn menacing is certainly worthy of praise.
Continue after the break to see a Darwinian ad for Deus Ex: Human Revolution, a Katy Perry plug for Just Dance 3, and the democratization of WWE ’12.
• I feel like I see a new ad or trailer for Deus Ex: Human Revolution every week. Not that I’m complaining or anything; the game looks great, and Eidos Montreal is obviously working hard to make sure their game sells well.
• This looks less like a video about Just Dance 3 and more like a video about some crappy pop singer. Perry’s promotion for the game doesn’t even come until the end, and you can tell they recorded her voice in some backstage room.
• Wrestling fans now have the opportunity to vote on the cover boy for the upcoming WWE ’12. I think it’s neat whenever developers include fans in the development process like this. In this case, though, “fans” mainly refers to white, beer-chugging Midwesterners.
