Every once in a while you play a game that is a beautiful experience through out, you can't get enough of it. It's play style is addicting it's story keeps you going and the music just wraps it up in a nice little package for you. Mirror's Edge is that game and I am so happy I went back to play it.

You pay as Faith a runner in a dystopia society, she spends her days basically Parkouring across rooftops delivering messages to other runners, while evading the government. Things get crazy once her sister who is a cop gets framed for murder, now its up to Faith to find out why and save her sister. The story to the game is good but nothing that will blow you away. I saw the twist coming a mile away and you will too. One thing that will stand out to you is the look of the game, it's beautiful. The colors from the environments really stand out and there's a reason to this. It's called runner vision and it's your best friend at helping you figure out where you have to go next.

Picture a game based of that opening chase scene from the first Matrix movie, Trinity running across rooftops being chased by agents. That's how I felt through out this game and I loved it every minute of it. There is no greater rush then sliding under some pipes, wall running and then leaping onto another rooftop, while your getting shot at. Red is your best friend in this game when ever you see a ramp or pipe glow red, head that way. If you ever get lost you can also hold the B button to point you in the right direction.

I also loved the fact that you could play the entire game without shooting anybody. Yes that is correct and have the achievement to prove it, Faith can knows some fancy fist work to take down and disarm foes. This is a refreshing option to have in a game and one I encourage all people to do because honestly how many games these days has you shooting something or someone? Sure there were some hard moments where I honestly wanted to mow some fools down but keep moving and you will figure it out.

Mirror's Edge is a game I recommend every one to play, from it's awesome soundtrack I will now be buying. To it's incredible fluid movement and chase sequences, it will be a hard game to put down. Sadly the game is rather short, the story predictable and alot of trial and error in later levels gets really annoying. Still I am really glad I went back and played this game and hopefully one day it will get a sequel.

*Great Game

If you like Parkour, great chases and amazing music

*Bad Game

If you hate puzzles, like lots of shooting and loads of different weapons.

8/10
