It is more likely nowadays to see a person with a smartphone than without one. Hell, most kids have their own iPhone or Android by the time they're five, and I didn't get my first cell phone until I was 13, for crying out loud!
But I digress.
Point is, if you want to get to know somebody in today's society–get the real dirt, the stuff they might not show publicly–getting your hands on their cell phones may be the best way. We see gossip mags doing it all the time, and we think it's video game character's turn to get in on the hype.
