Put down your mouse for just one minute folks. E3 has come upon us once again. Let us sit back and let the gaming goodness slide into our eyeballs unless of course you’d rather play video games. But why? No seriously, look at this list. Why?

Remember. Release dates are quite literally made at the whims of the publisher.  The following are subject to change without any warning.

Coming This Week

Inversion

Inversion (Xbox 360, PS3)

Cover based third person shooters come and go it seems like. Meet Namco’s entry into this genre. In Inversion gravity can either be your best friend or your enemy thanks to the Grav-Link device, which gives you the ability to shoot out pockets of high gravity or low gravity. It should come in handy given how an alien force has decided to invade Earth. Now you and your AI partner will have to shoot your way through… some city to find your daughter. Hey, at least you don’t have to repel the entire invasion yourself right? Obligatory multiplayer modes included.

Madagascar 3: The Video Game (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, 3DS, DS)

Guess what kid friendly, video gameable movie comes out this week? Enjoy your Madagascar 3 skinned third person platformer (side scroller for the handhelds) before you enjoy the movie!

Pikmin 2 (Wii)

No, you’re not seeing things, and no, this does not represent the newest iteration in the Pikmin franchise. This port of the GameCube title has been modified to fit the Wii Remote and Nunchuck, which may or may not improve the experience. As a quick refresher, Captain Olimar, the guy from the first Pikmin, returns to the planet that he was marooned on to collect various doodads to sell off to save his company from bankruptcy. Imagine if you have to go back to the place where you almost died to make money. Isn’t capitalism lovely?
