Let’s be hypothetical for a moment.

It’s E3 2012 and Nintendo Press Conference is going on.  It’s getting close to the end of it and for the last 15 minutes they announce something that has never been done.

WiiUI is announce.  People are still confused about this name.

Regis File-Aim starts talking about how they are going to release not only the American WiiU here but we will get a Japanese Only console too.  With this release, you can buy the international games (disk and digital) that aren’t being localize to come to the states.  The price is 499.99 and games would be 74.99.  All in its original language, kookiness, and no English subtitles would be in the games.  It only plays Japanese games.

Would that grab your attention?  Would you buy that, both, or neither?  I think that would throw everyone (Microsoft and Sony included) off.  I for one would be interested to see what would happen.

The thing is, I would get it.  I wouldn’t question on why they couldn’t just make it digital on one system but I would love to see and own the original game and artwork and not worry about importing or modding a system in order to play their games.  It would be cool to play games that are only for Japan.  Having Wiiware or VC games like Twinbee and other shooters and RPGS that we have read in earlier EGM’s International section.

If console releases happen like this, would that mean that we as Americans now have a wider choice of games and give more or a view of this gaming world instead of FPS.  To have something to really talk about from over the pond and review the games we are not use to playing.  To have something like the Japanese version Of Tatsunoku Vs Capcom, Disaster: Day Of Crisis, Captain Rainbow and other Japanese games.

So my question to you is, if a International console was announce for the states, would you buy it?
