Summer Stars 2012 (PS3, Wii)

What do you do when you wan to release an Olympic Games game but can’t get the licensing for it? Well, you pretend you have it, include some sport(s) that the Olympics don’t have, slap a generic-ass title on the box cover, and call it a day.

Heroes of Ruin (3DS)

Diablo sure is popular isn’t it? Don’t you wish you could play it on your handheld? Of course you do! Admittedly no amount of black magic can possibly cram Diablo 3 into any handheld, unless you consider your laptop a handheld. Instead we got Heroes of Ruin from n-Space via Square Enix. Pick one of four classes, fight through a couple of dungeons, pick up randomized gear, and do so with up to three other players online. One can’t help but admire n-Space’s ambition with their attempt at copying the Diablo formula on the weaker of the two dedicated gaming handhelds currently on the market. How anyone is going to be able to convince three of their friends to play this with them is beyond me.
