At long last, this Platinum beat ’em up is making its way over to North America. It pitches over-the-top fighters against each other in what they are calling an online brawler, so of course there will be team-based or one-on-one duels. Characters range from a pimped out cyborg fitted with “super sexy fists of fire” to a guy wielding a flaming chainsaw. The Japanese demo only makes me wonder what Platinum could have done with the Fist of the North Star license. Can’t wait to play this.

It the sequel to the indie-built fighting game featuring 8-bit styled visuals as teen fighters with a variety of crazy superpowers battle each other for supremacy whether at school or out in their favorite hangouts. Sounds a bit like Capcom’s Rival Schools mixed in with a violent slant to 90210.

The sequel to 2010’s game, it follows the Dynasty Warriors formula of retelling the previous events with even more scenes to buff up the post-apocalyptic, martial arts action. In addition to the original story, new legends, more characters, new moves, and plenty of action are also being thrown into this pugilistic mixer. The first game wasn’t bad, a bit rough around the edges, but a lot of fun especially if you’re a fan of the manga or the anime.

The developers who resurrected Mortal Kombat for a new generation are focusing their skills into a new fighting game bringing DC’s biggest heroes and villains into duking it out in a story arc. Famous faces like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Joker, and even Harley Quinn, will be fighting their way through interactive environments. In addition to using their skills and unique powers, players will be able to toss museum pieces at each other, punch opponents through walls, and use unique trademark “fatalities” based on whoever they are playing as to finish the job. It looks like it could be a contender for another addition to EVO.
