swing-copters-cheats-get-readyDong Nguyen is a frickin’ fascinating guy to me. First off, the developer of the highly successful ‘Flappy Bird’ game seemed caught off-guard when that app became such a hit that it began pulling in $50,000 per day in advertising revenue, and perhaps freaked out by all the fame and haters that came with the earnings.

So Nguyen announced he was taking the game down from the app market, using odd excuses and purporting that the game was too addictive. He caused a flurry of downloads in 24 hours, and in the wake of the game being pulled from the virtual stores, folks went even crazier and began paying $8,000 for one 16GB iPad Mini that still had ‘Flappy Bird’ loaded on the device.

In the meantime, Mobile Media Partners snatched up the ‘Flappy Bird’ name and 28-year-old Nguyen told Rolling Stone he was busy creating other apps, like Kitty Jetpack and Checkonaut.

Enter ‘Swing Copters’ and the search for cheats due to the difficulty of the game

Swing Copters (that’s the iTunes Store link, here it is on Google Play) is the newest game gaining buzz for Nguyen these days, and reports of its difficulty are already making for funny and interesting tweets and other social media status updates around the globe.

“Flying with a propeller hat is not as easy as it looks,” reads the deceptively simple description of the game, which claims you can tap to change directions – but even getting to a level number one has proved quite the challenge for some players.

Of course, YouTube is filling up with cheats and hacks, like this one that requires a little back-end work to increase your high score. However, that’s just hacking your high score, and isn’t much fun. It’s too technical and boring, perhaps something to use just to show off a crazy high score to your friends and brag (or lie) a little bit.

I prefer these Swing Copters cheats, whereby they advise you to settle into your tapping rhythm to get used to a cadence and flow that’s all your own, and to realize that you have a more narrow amount of room than you think when playing the game. Keeping calm whilst playing the game is probably the wisest piece of advice given, because more than one person has reported having a desire to throw their phone across a room because of the ‘Swing Copters’ game – and by the looks of that shattered iPhone on the iMore website, I can see why that’s an integral piece of advice.

Plus, you only get a chance for one good swing in between those girders, so make it good.

Most of all, remember that it’s a game you’re playing to have fun – not some intense challenge to win $1 million or an intense search to research conveyancing quotes online for your boss or something. This isn’t a difficult title deed transaction or a law exam for school where your livelihood depends on the outcome. Either way, post up those high scores and let those cheats keep coming!
