FezPeople especially developers are so sensitive these days. If our fore fathers would have been like this, I don’t think we would have ever gotten our independence. People in this day and age are softer than marshmallows and roses’s petals. Hey, if some punk with no life online is trolling or harassing you, don’t just grow a pair but grow some thick skin as well, stand up for yourself or ignore the masses of morons, who probably still live at home with their parents and aren’t even self-sustaining individuals of society. Like butter this should just roll right off of you.

Not drive you to quit your career or passion(*cough* FEZ creator) So be a man, and stand up for your self or ignore these bigots, and self-depreciating idiots. My old school father would say”best way to deal with any kind of bully is to defend yourself and strike back!” Don’t be a welcome mat for anyone, and understand that any one in a creative field be it musicians, actors, even athletes or developers are going to be scrutinized & are susceptible to heavy doses of criticism from everyone from fans, media. Everyone has an opinion whether we like it or not — these are the effects of a free country — grow up and deal with it like everyone else has since the beginning of time. You’ll only go crazy if you try to be everything to everyone, because the cold hard fact is you can’t please everybody. Please society, man up.

Remember, this is coming from a kid who grew up being fat with glasses and braces and was often ridiculed from elementary all the way up to my eighth grade year in middle-school. I was sent to the principal’s office for rearranging some kid’s face and my parents came to pick me up. My dad asked me if that was the boy that had been harassing me my entire tenure at that school, and I replied “yes” and he said “Good job! Now listen to me carefully you don’t use that on others unless it’s in self defense, like today.” That is why I condone getting your kids in martial arts: Not only does it build confidence and is a great work out, but it also equips us with the ability to defend ourselves from bullies and life in general. The bully never tried to look my way or say a thing to me again all the way through high-school. Just a little effect like standing up for yourself can have a huge impact in your life. Like not being scared to go to school or wanting to take your life cause of what someone said online,or even giving up your career because of some troll, it’s just pathetic for humans to carry themselves that way.
