Amazon Web Services today announced the launch of Kinesis Analytics, a new service to do time-series analytics over data that’s streaming in. The tool lets developers execute prebuilt SQL statements as well as run their own custom queries.
The service, which works with Kinesis Streams and the new Kinesis Firehose, will become available next year, Amazon chief technology officer Werner Vogels said at the AWS re:Invent conference in Las Vegas.
