Comcast Ventures and Route 66 Ventures led a $2 million seed investment for insurance marketplace Bunker, the startup announced today.

Bunker says it created the “first ever contract-related insurance marketplace,” aimed at helping freelance workers and companies with coverage. The startup’s first product, focusing on the gig economy, will launch this summer.

Insurance carriers Hiscox and American Family Venture also joined in Bunker’s investment.
