Co-founded by the creator of Monocle, Yelp’s augmented reality feature, the startup is creating a new type of photograph using smartphone cameras, TechCrunch reports. August Capital is an investor in the Mountain View, Calif.-based company.
Centric Software brings in $7M for product life cycle management: The software developer has raised $7M of an expected $8.5M in equity funding, according to a filing with the SEC. Based in Campbell, Calif., the company helps clients in the fashion and consumer products industries with product development and supply chain management.

MINT raises funding to control water quality: Membrane Instruments and Technology (MINT), a cleantech startup based in Singapore, has raised an undisclosed amount from Nanostart AG, a Frankfurt-based investor, peHUB reports. Founded in 2009, the company is a spinoff from Nanyang Technological University and is working on “technology for monitoring and controlling water quality in filtration-based water treatment plants,” according to MINT’s press release.
