You want funding? We’ve got funding. And, even though it’s only Monday, we wish we had a robot bartender like the one from funding recipient Monsieur, above — because then we’d be sipping drinks made with artificial intelligence.

VoloMetrix, pushing an app to track employee productivity, scores $12M

VoloMetrix, a startup with software that automatically pulls in calendar and email data in order to analyze the effectiveness of specific salespeople and other employees within companies, is announcing $12 million in new funding today.

In the context of sales, VoloMetrix can show the time employees spend with customers, the cost of selling to customers, the reach of individual salespeople, the network of people salespeople know at specific accounts, and other metrics that can typically be hard to calculate.

VoloMetrix is based in Seattle. Split Rock Partners led the new round, and Shasta Ventures also participated.

Speakr (formerly twtMob) scores $2.9M to land more brand endorsements for Net influencers

LA-based Speakr — until today known as twtMob — has just landed $2.9 million in seed funding to promote more brands through these 21st century stars.

Each of these influencers has followers ranging from the tens of thousands to the millions. Their short videos, blog posts, photos, and tweets have gained huge followings for their wit, outrageousness, and engaging styles.

The seed round was led by Toba Capital.

Robot bartender maker Monsieur takes in $2 million

Atlanta-based startup Monsieur, which makes robotic bartenders, announced a $2 million seed round of venture funding on October 10. BIP Capital led the round.

Monsieur claims it has developed what is literally the first AI robot that can bartend and pour drinks. The robot runs in conjunction with Monsieur-produced apps for iOS and Android devices.

Hello Doctor gets $700K for its personal medical records app

Hello Doctor’s app can pull clinical data from a number of hospitals and clinics via an application programming interface (API). The patient can then share the records with her current primary care doctor, for instance. If the records are on paper, the patient can share them with her doctor by photographing or scanning them and emailing the images.

The Tel Aviv and Palo Alto, Calif.-based company says it has picked up $700K in new funding from some angel investors from Facebook, Google, and a couple of pharma companies.
