San Francisco VC Homebrew announces new $50M seed fund

Today Homebrew announced that it’s closed its second-ever fund. The firm raised $50 million this time around — that’s $15 million more than its first seed fund.

Warner Bros. invests $24M more into game video site Machinima

Last night Machinima, a digital video site that is dedicated to fandom and gamer culture, has raised $24 million in funding from Warner Bros. Entertainment and existing investors.

Virtual tours startup RoundMe raises $3M

Today Palo Alto, California-based RoundMe announced a $3M raise from April Capital. The company, which enables users to “create, share, and watch virtual tours through a network of panoramic photography,” plans to use the funds to grow its user base.

Entertainment wish list app Fabric raises $1.5M

San Francisco-based Fabric — an app for finding, listing, and sharing your favorite movies, music, and TV shows — has raised $1.5 million from WME, Great Oaks, and more.
