Log-data tracker Loggly raises $15M
Loggly, a startup with cloud-based software for tracking the operations of web servers, databases, and even data center hardware, announced $15 million in new cash today. Harmony Partners led the round. Cisco, Data Collective, Matrix Partners, Trinity Ventures, and True Ventures also participated in the new round for the startup.

Square competitor Orderbird raises $10 million
Berlin-based Orderbird today announced a $10 million raise from ConCardis and “private investors in the U.S. and Luxemburg.” The company offers an iPad-based point of sale system highly reminiscent (to put it kindly) of Square.
Checkr raises $9M to give the sharing economy a background check
With the rise of the on-demand economy, we are increasingly having to trust complete strangers. Checkr wants to help make this safer. The Y Combinator-backed startup provides background checks-as-a-service and is announcing today that it has raised $9 million in a first round of institutional funding.
Cloud enabler 2nd Watch grabs $10M
In addition to announcing a $10 million round of new funding today, 2nd Watch, a startup with consulting services and software to help companies use the Amazon Web Services public cloud, the startup also said it had brought on a new chief executive Doug Schneider. Co-founder Kris Bliesner, the chief executive until this point, is becoming chief technology officer. Top Tier Capital Partners led the new funding round. Columbia Capital and Madrona Venture Group also participated.

Semiconductor startup Quantance grabs $6 million
Today Quantance, a startup which aims to boost the efficency of “3G and 4G/LTE systems,” announced it has raised $6 million. According to a public filing with the SEC, Quantance may raise $3 million more. Check out our profile on the company last year when it raised $12 million.
