Kineto Wireless dials up $9M to revamp mobile base stations

Kineto Wireless, provider of software that allows mobile phones to work on both cellular and Wi-Fi networks, has brought in $9 million of an anticipated $15 million round of equity, according to a filing with the SEC. Based in Milpitas, Calif., the company has raised $24.5 million to date from Venrock Associates, Sutter Hill Ventures, Oak Investment Partners and Motorola Ventures, among others.
